Subjects Taught
Fourth Grade

I was born and raised in Onslow County and I am proud to be a Southwest High School graduate.  GO STALLIONS FOREVER!!! I started out by receiving my Associates in Arts Degree at Coastal Carolina Community College and then transferred to UNCW and went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

I entered the Onslow County School System in 1999, serving in the role of Teacher Assistant in a Behaviorally and Emotionally Disturbed classroom. While I went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UNC at Wilmington I was a substitute teacher in the Onslow County School System in grades Kindergarten through 8th. I am currently entering my eleventh year in fourth grade and grow to love teaching and learning more each year.

I was privileged to be born and raised in Onslow County by two very hard-working parents that taught me the importance of family.  In 1991, I met the love of my life  in Maine and went on to marry him and have two beautiful children.  My passions include: family, church, children, learning, reading, and mission work.  While my most recent missionary work included a trip to Brooklyn, New York in 2012, to work with a newly started New Beginnings Church and to bring a message of hope to the people of Brooklyn, I consider every where I go to be my mission field.  I have a passport and am ready to go wherever I am called!  Things that bring me joy, outside of the previously mentioned, include: anything written by Picoult, Hannah, or Scottoline, children laughing. chocolate, visiting different camp grounds in North Carolina, nice people, traveling and Manatees!
